Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Northeast Early College). They put the hurt on the Austin Achieve Polar Bears with a sharp 63-43 victory on Friday. The Raiders have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Polar Bears, too.

Despite the loss, Austin Achieve still got an impressive performance from Cash Silver, who posted 13 points and four steals. Rock Nyundo was another key player, putting up no points along with seven blocks and five boards.

Northeast Early College's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-13. As for Austin Achieve, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9.

Northeast Early College will host LBJ Austin at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Someone's luck will take a turn for the better: Northeast Early College has lost eight straight at home (dating back to last season), while LBJ Austin has lost three on the road. As for Austin Achieve, they will venture away from home to challenge Eastside Early College at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
