Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Taylor Bechtol and Reign Wilkins Lead Troy Christian to Victory

Troy Christian's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Northridge Polar Bears as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-6, 25-9.

Troy Christian was led to victory by Reign Wilkins and Taylor Bechtol. Wilkins had 16 digs and two aces, while Bechtol had 22 assists and nine aces. Those nine aces gave Bechtol a new career-high. Harper Taylor also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Troy Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 25 aces. They are 7-2 when they serve at least ten aces.

Troy Christian's victory ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 11-8. As for Northridge, they dropped their record down to 0-16 with the defeat, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Troy Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Lehman Catholic on the 7th. As for Northridge, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Trotwood-Madison on the 4th.
