Baseball Recap: Clinton Falls to Delavan in First Game of Season

Clinton had to start their season on the road on Monday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 12-6 to the Delavan Panthers. If the Maroons were looking for revenge after losing 4-3 to the Panthers when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Brock Wilson was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jack Manning, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double.

Coming up, Clinton is taking a road trip to face off against Heyworth at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Delavan, they will take on Oregon at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
