Softball Preview: Fowlerville Gladiators vs. Eaton Rapids Greyhounds        
        
		
            
 The Fowlerville Gladiators will be staying on the road  on Thursday to face off against the Eaton Rapids Greyhounds at 4:00  p.m. Fowlerville knows how to get  runs on the board -- the  squad has finished with flashy  run totals in its past five games -- so hopefully Eaton Rapids likes a good challenge.
 Fowlerville is hoping to deliver their fans another blowout  on Thursday, just like they did against St. Johns (and have done all season long). Fowlerville put the hurt on St. Johns with a sharp  11-3 victory on Tuesday.
  Tori Briggs made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run while striking out eight over 5.2 innings pitched. Briggs has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in four consecutive pitching appearances. Briggs was also stellar in the batter's box,  firing off two  home runs, five  RBI,  and three  runs while going 4-for-4.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Mckayla Fletcher, who  went 2-for-3 with a  home run and two  RBI.  Angelle Haan was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.
 Meanwhile, Eaton Rapids earned  an  8-3 win over Olivet  on Tuesday.
 Fowlerville has  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record  this season. As for Eaton Rapids, their record now sits at 6-7.
 Everything went Fowlerville's way against Eaton Rapids when the teams last played  back in May of 2022 as Fowlerville made off with  an  11-3 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fowlerville since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
