Basketball Recap: Ella Webster Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Summit

There's no place like home for Eagle Valley, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They came out on top against the Summit Tigers by a score of 47-39 on Monday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Devils also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2025.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Eagle Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ella Webster, who shot 42% from the field en route to 13 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. Webster is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Terra Hasley, who posted 11 points.

Eagle Valley was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. They are 4-2 when they've passed the ball that well.

Summit's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Phoenix Meyer, who put up 14 points along with five boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jade Close, who earned eight points in addition to eight rebounds and three blocks.

The victory got Eagle Valley back to even at 7-7. As for Summit, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.
