Basketball Recap: Archie Whirlwinds vs. Lone Jack Mules
The Archie Whirlwinds won the last time they faced the Lone Jack Mules, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Archie took down the Mules 61-42. Archie pushed the score to 50-25 by the end of the third, a deficit the Mules cut but never quite recovered from.
Despite the loss, Lone Jack still got an impressive performance from Ethan Rogers, who scored 17 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rogers has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brett Nicholson, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and three steals.
The victory makes it two in a row for Archie and bumps their season record up to 8-9. As for Lone Jack, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Archie will take on the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lone Jack, they will be playing at home against the Vikings at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
