Football Recap: Eaton Triumphs + How To Watch

Eaton posted their closest victory since September 27, 2024 on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 13-10 win over the Berthoud Spartans. This was payback for the Reds, who suffered a 33-15 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Jackson Savona continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 268 yards and one TD while picking up 8.9 yards per carry. Those 268 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Savona was just one part of a punishing run game: Eaton was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 279 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Another reason for the win was Eaton's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece.

The victory made it two in a row for Eaton and bumps their season record up to 6-3. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 2.5 points across that stretch. As for Berthoud, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

As of now, neither Eaton nor the Spartans have any future games scheduled.
