Marlboro Central is 8-2 against Roosevelt since May of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Dukes will head out to face off against the Presidents at 10:00 a.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Marlboro Central's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-0 victory over Rondout Valley.

Meanwhile, Roosevelt came tearing into Thursday's contest with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Ganders by a score of 6-1. Six seems to be a good number for the Presidents as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Brendan Cohen tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out six over five innings pitched.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Brice Rider, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024.

Marlboro Central is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Roosevelt, they pushed their record up to 11-3 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.
