Baseball Recap: North Union Wildcats vs. Tecumseh Arrows
North Union was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 9-0 to the Tecumseh Arrows, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Arrows apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.
North Union saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Miles Marlette, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base. That stolen base was Marlette's first of the season.
North Union's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Tecumseh, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Union will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Northridge at 5:00 p.m. on May 15. As for Tecumseh, they will welcome Bellefontaine at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Arrows are facing the Chieftains at the right time seeing as the Chieftains are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
