Basketball Recap: Eldred Comes Up Short

Eldred lost to SS Seward back in February of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Yellowjackets were beaten by SS Seward 52-22.

Eldred's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Sydney Furler, who posted five points in addition to nine steals and five blocks, and Avery Moscateillo, who had no points. Furler is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in each of the last four games she's played dating back to last season.

Eldred's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for SS Seward, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Eldred will welcome Monticello at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for SS Seward, they have already played their next game, a 55-24 loss against Delaware Academy on the 10th.
