Softball Recap: Lee Comes Up Short

Lee was the 8-2 winner over Lamar when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Lee Ganders lost 14-4 to the Lamar Texans on Saturday.

Emily Sistos made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-2. Gia Graham was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

Even though they lost, Lee was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .312 or higher in four consecutive matchups.

Lee's loss dropped their record down to 1-3-1. As for Lamar, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-4.

Lee didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-7 defeat against Livingston on the 15th. Lamar has also already played their next game (against King), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
