Volleyball Recap: Reagan Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Reagan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Marvin Ridge Mavericks. The Raiders were not able to make up for their loss to the Mavericks from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-20, 25-13.

Despite the defeat, Reagan saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Brielynd Riddle had 17 digs and three assists. Riddle is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 17 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Reagan's loss dropped their record down to 20-7. As for Marvin Ridge, their victory was their 24th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-2.

Reagan and Marvin Ridge should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings. The Raiders will square off against R.J. Reynolds at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (26 vs. 371). Meanwhile, Marvin Ridge (ranked third) will meet Charlotte Catholic (ranked 330th) at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
