Game recap: Mount Miguel High School Football Team bests Poway

POWAY, Calif. - Mount Miguel (Spring Valley, Calif.) kept up a steady attack all game long to defeat Poway (Calif.), 38-3, on Saturday.

After taking the lead on a Ben Lomibao touchdown run in the first quarter, the Matadors led 17-3 at the half.

Mount Miguel grew its lead to 21 points entering the fourth quarter. MM's lone score in the quarter came on a touchdown run by Lomibao.

The Spring Valley school entered the contest giving up 19.6 points per game this year.

The defeat comes as a step back for Poway, who notched a 45-21 victory over Valley Center in its previous outing.
