Recap: West Broward Bobcats vs. American Patriots
After a string of three wins, the West Broward Bobcats's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell 63-54 to American. While losing is never fun, West Broward can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 412th, while American is ranked 200th).
American's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kennith Johnson, who scored 22 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Johnson has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Alexandre Brigitte, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
West Broward's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for American, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.
West Broward will head out on the road to face off against South Broward at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. South Broward is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for American, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Everglades at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
