Recap: Georgetown Royals vs. Amesbury Redhawks
Even though the Georgetown Royals have not done well against the Amesbury Redhawks recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Georgetown blew past Amesbury 56-25 at home. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 30-5.
Despite the loss, Amesbury had strong showings from Sadie Bolth, who scored eight points, and Calista Catarius, who scored seven points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bolth has scored all season.
The win makes it two in a row for Georgetown and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Amesbury, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Georgetown will face off against Manchester Essex at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Amesbury, they will head out on the road to face off against Hamilton-Wenham Regional at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
