Soccer Recap: Wheeling Takes a Loss

Wheeling lost against Buffalo Grove back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Wildcats came up short against the Bison, falling 3-0.

Wheeling has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season. As for Buffalo Grove, their victory bumped their record up to 5-7-2.

Looking ahead, Wheeling will challenge Maine East at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Wheeling will be up against Maine East's rather soft defense (which has allowed 5.9 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Buffalo Grove, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Glenbrook South at 7:00 p.m. on the 20th.
