Basketball Recap: Falls City Takes a Loss

Falls City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 21st straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Mead Raiders and fell 66-33. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 66-20 back in January.

When it comes to explaining why Falls City lost, don't look at Keifer Adams. Despite the final result, he posted 12 points. Adams is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 40% in the last three games he's played.

Isaac Couch continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Mead, going 9-for-21 to rack up 20 points. Brady Gartner was another key player, putting up 11 points and eight rebounds.

Falls City's loss dropped their record down to 0-19. As for Mead, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.

Falls City wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 54-52 defeat against Diller-Odell on the 11th. As for Mead, they have also already played their next game, a 69-48 win against Weeping Water on the 8th.
