Football Recap: Hulbert Takes a Loss

Hulbert lost against Hartshorne back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Riders had to suffer through a 47-14 loss at the hands of the Miners. The Riders were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-0.

Despite the loss, Hulbert still got an impressive performance from Cody Botts, who rushed for 214 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 12.6 yards per carry. Botts' rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 129 rushing yards.

With the loss, Hulbert broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-2. As for Hartshorne, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hulbert will venture away from home to take on Panama at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hartshorne, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Warner at 7:00 p.m. on October 10.
