Soccer Recap: Gill St. Bernard's Takes a Loss

While it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Gill St. Bernard was not quite Morris Knolls's equal in the second half on Monday. They fell 3-1 to the Golden Eagles. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Gill St. Bernard's came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey soccer rankings (they are ranked 34th, while Morris Knolls are ranked 109th).

This is the second loss in a row for Gill St. Bernard's and nudges their season record down to 6-8-1. As for Morris Knolls, their victory ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 11-7.

Coming up, Gill St. Bernard's will venture away from home to square off against Montclair Kimberley Academy at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Morris Knolls, they will face off against Parsippany Hills at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
