Basketball Recap: Hanover Piles Up the Points Against the Colorado Springs School

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Hanover on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew The Colorado Springs School Kodiaks out of the water with a 50-18 final score. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 29-7.

Junior Diaz was nothing short of spectacular: he went 8 for 17 on his way to 16 points and seven steals. He has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last nine times he's played. Tyler Decker was another key player, putting up ten points along with five rebounds and five steals.

Several Kodiaks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Michael Huang, who posted four points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lawrence Galka, who put up three points and eight rebounds.

Hanover's win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Hanover didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 56-23 loss against Fountain Valley on the 7th. As for The Colorado Springs School, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 39-36 defeat against James Irwin on the 7th.
