Basketball Recap: Paoli Triumphs

Paoli lost to West Washington back in January of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Paoli Rams snuck past the West Washington Senators with a 38-33 victory. The Rams didn't have much to brag about two games back, but this win makes it their second in a row.

Paoli had a senior duo take command as Jericho Hopper dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds and Lilly Hall went 6 of 12 on her way to 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hall has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kalyn Hannon, who posted six points and seven boards.

When it comes to explaining why West Washington lost, don't look at Meredith Deaton. Despite the final result, she went 7 for 17 en route to 20 points and four steals. Deaton's evening made it 15 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Belle Farmer also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Paoli's victory bumped their record up to 7-13. As for West Washington, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-11 record this season.

Paoli has already played their next contest, a 54-52 win against Crawford County on the 25th. As for West Washington, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 67-41 defeat against Brownstown Central on the 25th.
