While Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology's victory against Annandale wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Colonials skirted past the Atoms 9-7. The Colonials haven't had any issues with the Atoms recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology got a massive performance out of Vivian Monaco, who fired off two home runs while going 2-for-5. What's more, Monaco posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in March. Emma Tao was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Annandale, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-8.

Looking ahead, Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology will head out to take on Justice at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Colonials are facing the Wolves at the right time seeing as the Wolves are stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for Annandale, they will host George C. Marshall at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Statesmen have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.07 runs per game on average), something the Atoms will no doubt try to take advantage of.
