It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Biggs had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Burney Raiders. The victory was familiar territory for the Wolverines, who have now won nine matches in a row.

Gracie Sheppard spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Biggs saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Daisy Seipert, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and one run. That's the most stolen bases Seipert has posted since back in March.

Biggs' win bumped their record up to 24-3-1. As for Burney, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-4.

Biggs has already played their next contest, a 5-2 victory against Etna on the 22nd. As for Burney, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 5-4 win against Los Molinos on the 22nd.
