Baseball Recap: Blountstown Takes a Loss

Blountstown and Port St. Joe squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Blountstown had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Tiger Sharks by a score of 4-3. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tiger Sharks earlier this season, when they won 13-12.

Isaac Roberts was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Ja'Corey Williams, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Blountstown's defeat dropped their record down to 10-16. As for Port St. Joe, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-10.

As of now, neither Blountstown nor the Tiger Sharks have any future games scheduled.
