Tullahoma extended their home winning streak to ten games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Jayden Thompson. The Wildcats sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 55-52 victory over the Shelbyville Central Golden Eagles on Tuesday with plenty of help from Thompson, who shot 43% from the field to rack up 17 points and eight rebounds. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Tullahoma's record is now 7-2. As for Shelbyville Central, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5.

Tullahoma and Shelbyville Central could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings. The Wildcats (ranked 38th) will meet Gray Collegiate Academy (ranked fifth) at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Shelbyville Central will square off against Hoover at 7:00 p.m. on Monday with a big rank disadvantage (56 vs. 6).
