Soccer Recap: Chicago Christian Victorious

After losing to Galesburg the last time they met, Chicago Christian decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Knights came out on top against the Silver Streaks by a score of 3-1 on Saturday.

Casey Lenarz and Szymon Chrobak scored all three of Chicago Christian's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

The victory got Chicago Christian back to even at 2-2. As for Galesburg, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2-1.

Chicago Christian's road trip will continue as they head out to face Columbia at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Galesburg, they will take on Cornerstone Christian at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Galesburg will be up against Cornerstone Christian's rather soft defense (which has allowed four goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
