Volleyball Recap: Highlands Gets the Win

Highlands lost to Boyd County back in September of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Bluebirds came out on top against the Lions by a score of 2-0.

Highlands had a senior duo take command as Ava Muzumdar had seven digs and three aces and Hayden Gessner had 15 digs and two assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Audrey Sorrentino, who had six assists and five digs.

Highlands' victory bumped their record up to 21-9. As for Boyd County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Highlands will face off against Cooper at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Boyd County, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Fairview at 7:00 p.m.
