Volleyball Recap: Bonita Vista's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak on the Road

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Bonita Vista can now relate to. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Augustine Saints on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Barons of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2022.

While Bonita Vista ultimately came up short, they really made St. Augustine work, particularly in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 26-24, 23-25, 25-12.

St. Augustine can attribute much of their success to Oliver Fendley, who had 25 assists. Fendley has been hot, having posted 19 or more assists the last seven times he's played.

Bonita Vista's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-15. As for St. Augustine, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 19-11 record this season.

Bonita Vista does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Augustine, they will take on Del Norte at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
