Baseball Recap: Williamson Marauders vs. Clyde-Savannah Golden Eagles
Williamson had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against the Clyde-Savannah Golden Eagles by a score of 9-4 on Friday. For the Marauders, this counts as revenge for the 6-4 win the Golden Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

David DeFisher made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out seven over 4.2 innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
