Basketball Recap: La Porte Picks Up Second Consecutive Win

La Porte won the last time they faced Ball, and Trent Callies did his part to make sure it happened again. The La Porte Bulldogs came out on top against the Ball Tornadoes by a score of 73-66 on Thursday thanks in part to Callies, who dropped a double-double on 34 points and ten steals. That's the most points he has posted since back in February of 2024.

Caden Watson was another key player, going 6 for 14 en route to 18 points. He also posted a block, marking his first of the season.

The win made it two in a row for La Porte and bumps their season record up to 19-9. As for Ball, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-9.

La Porte wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 81-47 victory against Santa Fe on the 24th. As for Ball, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 50-38 defeat against Friendswood on the 24th.
