Volleyball Recap: Bakersfield Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Bakersfield lost against Bakersfield Christian back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Drillers fell 3-1 to the Eagles. The Drillers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Bakersfield started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-23, 25-20, 25-12.

Despite the loss, Bakersfield saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Carly Arambula had 60 digs and one assist. Those 60 digs set a new season-high mark for Arambula. Another player making a difference was Ariel Moreno, who had 17 digs and two aces.

Bakersfield's defeat dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Bakersfield Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.
