American Canyon was handed a eight-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Sonoma Valley Dragons 7-5. This was a revenge game for the Wolves: when they faced off against the Dragons on Tuesday, they had to take a 11-7 defeat.

American Canyon got a great performance from Bradley Keffer as he tossed 6.1 innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits.

At the plate, American Canyon's victory was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Sovann Som, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI Som has posted since back in March of 2024. Noah Johnson was another, going 2-for-4 with three runs.

American Canyon's record now sits at 9-11. As for Sonoma Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 5-16.

American Canyon has already played their next matchup, a 7-5 win against Petaluma on the 29th. As for Sonoma Valley, they will venture away from home to face off against Novato at 3:00 p.m. on May 3.
