After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Buford, Roswell was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Everything went their way against the Westlake Lions as they made off with a 50-30 victory. The Hornets haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Trey Smith looked great while leading his team to the win, rushing for 72 yards and a pair of scores, while also throwing for 248 yards and two TDs while picking up 11.3 yards per attempt. A healthy portion of that aerial production (97 yards to be exact) went to Wills Campbell.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Roswell was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 288 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Westlake only rushed for 86 rushing yards.
