Softball Game Preview: Comanche Indians vs. Tolar Rattlers

The Comanche Indians will face off against the Tolar Rattlers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.

Comanche is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Peaster just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 6-3 to the Greyhounds.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Tolar, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They walked away with an 8-5 victory over Early on Friday.

Lillie Uselton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, Kanyn Deaver was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Milly Taylor, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Deaver wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Tolar kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in six consecutive games.

Tolar now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Comanche, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.

Comanche beat Tolar 7-4 when the teams last played back in March of 2021. Does Comanche have another victory up their sleeve, or will Tolar turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
