Basketball Recap: Clinton Takes a Loss

Clinton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 34th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Davenport North Wildcats, falling 78-49. While losing is never fun, the River Kings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 301st, while the Wildcats are ranked 63rd).

Clinton's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Davenport North, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Clinton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 65-61 defeat against Davenport Central on the 21st. Davenport North has also already played their next game (against Davenport West), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
