Recap: Seven Rivers Christian Warriors vs. Patel Trailblazers

In what's become a running theme this season, the Seven Rivers Christian Warriors gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They breezed by Patel on the road to the tune of 72-33. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 48-8.

Seven Rivers Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Annalise De beer led the charge by dropping a double-double on 19 points and 20 rebounds. De beer is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Jurisah Bailey, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds.

Despite the loss, Patel still got an impressive performance from SIMARKAE MCLEAN, who scored 26 points. That was a full 78.8% of Patel's points, marking the 15th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Patel struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Seven Rivers Christian racked up 17 assists.

The win was the third in a row for Seven Rivers Christian, bringing their record for this year to 12-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.7 points per game. As for Patel, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.

Seven Rivers Christian on the road again on Saturday and play against St. Petersburg Catholic at 12:00 p.m. on January 20th. St. Petersburg Catholic will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. Patel won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Eagle's View at 12:00 p.m. on January 20th. Hopefully Eagle's View focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 37 on Friday.
