Basketball Recap: Chinook's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak at Home

Chinook has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 47-45 heartbreaker at the hands of the Chester-Joplin-Inverness Hawks. The Beeters were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Chinook's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-2. As for Chester-Joplin-Inverness, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1.

Chinook wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 72-17 victory against Conrad on the 18th. As for Chester-Joplin-Inverness, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 51-42 loss against North Star on the 17th.
