Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Marionville). They claimed a resounding 67-33 victory over the Niangua Cardinals. The win was some much needed relief for the Comets as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Marionville's victory bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Niangua, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marionville will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Purdy at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Niangua will also get a bit of a break before their next match: they'll face off against Everton at 5:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
