Baseball Game Preview: Seminole Ridge Hawks vs. Park Vista Cobras

Seminole Ridge is 0-6 against Park Vista since March of 2016 but things could change on Tuesday. The Seminole Ridge Hawks are taking a road trip to challenge the Park Vista Cobras at 6:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

Seminole Ridge will bounce into Tuesday's game after beating Santaluces, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Everything went Seminole Ridge's way against Santaluces on Friday as Seminole Ridge made off with an 11-4 win. Considering the Hawks have won four contests by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Dylan Peek looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Grady Endemann and Michael Donals did most of the damage at the plate: Endemann scored a run while going 2-for-4, while Donals scored two runs while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Vento, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4.

Seminole Ridge hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Park Vista entered their tilt with Palm Beach Central on Friday with five consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with six. They walked away with a 10-5 victory over the Broncos.

Park Vista's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Seminole Ridge, their record is now 6-4.
