Basketball Recap: Kent-Meridian Comes Up Short

Kent-Meridian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 64-5 loss at the hands of the Federal Way Eagles. The Royals lost against the Eagles in their previous head to head back in December of 2016, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 43-34 score last time.

Kent-Meridian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Federal Way, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kent-Meridian will welcome Auburn Mountainview at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Auburn Mountainview will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Kent-Meridian surely won't give up without a fight. As for Federal Way, they will be playing at home against Decatur at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Decatur's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
