Softball Recap: Thornwell Saints vs. Dixie Hornets
Thornwell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell victim to a rough 22-3 loss at the hands of the Dixie Hornets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Thornwell of the 15-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture two weeks ago.
Karleigh Porter made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2.
Thornwell's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Dixie, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 10-5.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Ware Shoals the next time they take the field. Thornwell will host Ware Shoals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Dixie will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
