Basketball Recap: Abbeville Christian Academy Skates Past Lakeside School with Ease

The matchup between Abbeville Christian Academy and Lakeside School on Monday hardly resembled the 55-6 effort from their previous meeting. The Abbeville Christian Academy Generals took their matchup with ease, bagging a 79-27 win over the Lakeside School Chiefs. The Generals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 30 points or more this season.

Jayden Buckhannon was his usual excellent self, going 9 of 12 on his way to 23 points along with seven boards and five steals. The contest was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rooty Ward, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 11 rebounds.

Abbeville Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds in 13 consecutive matchups.

Abbeville Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points per game. As for Lakeside School, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.
