Football Recap: Junction Picks Up 13th Consecutive Win + How To Watch

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Junction had no problem doing just that on Friday. They blew past the Granger Lions 42-14. 42 seems to be a good number for the Eagles as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Bode Bierschwale was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 51 yards and a pair of scores, and also picked up 49 receiving yards. Those 49 receiving yards gave him a new career-high.

Junction's run defense was locked in: Granger could only muster 2.6 yards per carry. The Eagles' ground attack was stronger, having averaged 5.4.

Junction didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Hunter Dale and Casen Roberts.

The win keeps Junction at an undefeated 13-0. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.1 points on average this season. As for Granger, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 10-1.

Coming up, Junction will take on Shiner on Friday. The Comanches' defense has only allowed 11.2 points per game this season, so the Eagles' offense will have their work cut out for them. Granger does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
