North Duplin and Hobbton are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2015, but not for long. The Rebels are taking a road trip to square off against the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Carell Phillips and Amir Tate.

North Duplin will head out to face Hobbton after giving up their first home loss of the season on Friday. The Rebels were beaten by East Columbus 78-0. Despite 353 more yards than the Gators, the Rebels couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Thompson's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 102 rushing yards.

Hobbton was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 348 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 179 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

North Duplin's loss dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Hobbton, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.

Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. North Duplin has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 330.8 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Hobbton struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 327.3 rushing yards.
