There's no place like home for Elbert, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Miami-Yoder Buffaloes 3-2 on Thursday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in September.

Elbert was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 18-25, 24-26, 25-15, 15-6.

Elbert's win bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Miami-Yoder, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Elbert will be playing at home against Evangel Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Miami-Yoder, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Kiowa on the 10th.
