Recap: Ballard Bulldogs vs. Miami Eagles
The Ballard Bulldogs came into Thursday's contest having lost 12 straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They put the hurt on Miami with a sharp 60-39 win on Thursday. The win was just what Ballard needed coming off of a 45-12 loss in their prior game.
Ballard found their leader in underclassman Payson Hill, who scored 25 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Hill has scored at least a third of Ballard's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cade Callahan, who scored 13 points.
Ballard's victory ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-16. As for Miami, they dropped their record down to 0-12 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight at home.
Ballard will head out on the road to take on Chilhowee at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Missouri (Chilhowee is ranked 585th, while Ballard is ranked 592nd). As for Miami, they will be playing at home against Montrose at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
