Softball Recap: Hargrave Takes a Loss

Hargrave was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hardin-Jefferson Hawks. The Falcons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hawks earlier this season, when they won 10-2.

Hargrave's defeat dropped their record down to 12-12. As for Hardin-Jefferson, they pushed their record up to 10-18 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Hargrave is set to take on their familiar foe Shepherd at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Falcons 3.5, the Pirates 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Hardin-Jefferson will face off against rival Livingston at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
