Apex Friendship proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by three) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Jordan Falcons 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Patriots sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Apex Friendship took Jordan into a fifth set where they got it done with a seven-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-15, 25-22, 25-27, 15-8.

Caroline Smith paced Apex Friendship's offense, picking up 20 kills. Smith got some help from Emma Mackie and her 19 assists. Smith was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Despite the defeat, Jordan saw an underclassman step up: freshman Evelyn Greene had 13 digs and one assist.

Apex Friendship's win bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Jordan, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-11 record this season.

Apex Friendship has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Green Level on the 14th. Jordan does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
