Softball Recap: Cardinal Spellman Takes a Loss

Cardinal Spellman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mary Louis Academy Hilltoppers. The Pilots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hilltoppers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2018.

August Woodson and Camila Uribe did some serious damage despite the final result: Woodson scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1, while Uribe went 1-for-2 with one home run. Another player making a difference was Nisauly Dominguez, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Cardinal Spellman's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cardinal Spellman will challenge St. Francis Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Mary Louis Academy, they will face off against Cardinal Spellman at 4:30 p.m. on March 28th.
