Softball Recap: Fishers' Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

Fishers won the last time they faced Brownsburg and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Tigers came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 9-4. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Tigers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Kate Murray was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off nine hits. Murray was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one RBI.

In other batting news, Kendall Jordan was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Adrianne Cook was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Fishers kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 12 hits in three consecutive games.

Fishers' victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 14-10. As for Brownsburg, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 15-9 record.

Coming up, Fishers will face off against Anderson at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Brownsburg, they will square off against Roncalli at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Royals' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
